PeO Eriksson
PeO’s favourite race is Monaco, narrowness, cobblestones, apartment windows flashing by, the closeness of it all. It´s as if we stood on a balcony, just above the stroboscopic roar, trying to catch a glimpse of their eyes, wondering ”who are these men?” PeO shows us.
Here are the greats of the ´60s – Graham Hill, Lorenzo Bandini, Jackie Stewart – men in short sleeves and useless helmets, palling around with death at over 200 km/h.
We meet the next generation, the Swedes Gunnar Nilsson and Ronnie Peterson, their eyes so focused as to appear empty. These are the strangers who let PeO into their lives.
They also left PeO behind, many of these friends died, But thanks to PeO, they left us a beautiful record of what it is to be human enough to dare.
