Hester Esquenazi

Hester Esquenazi, known as hester, is a Miami based photographer who was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She is best known for creating large scale abstract images that investigate photography as the intersection between art and science.
Before coming to the United States hester had a successful commercial photography business in Colombia. She was among the top five photographers in the country, working with fashion designers to create editorials and celebrity portraits.  
Her work investigates scientific phenomena, revealing processes that occur but are not inherently visible.  
She continues to explore cognitive processes and her images show how photography reveals and challenges our ways of knowing.
