Rickard L. Eriksson
Rickard Liljero Eriksson grew up in a place that is often described as Västergötland’s Österlen – Kinnekulle. In the small town, where involvement in the sports club and work at the local factory was considered the norm, he often felt misunderstood. Instead of running after a ball on school breaks, Rickard preferred to sit inside and paint all those pictures that tended to accumulate on his cornea during the day.
When he, as an 18-year-old, got a Canon in his hand, he got even more outlet to capture those moments, emotions, unique details, nuances and genuine expressions in people. Something he’s done ever since. In 2002, he moved to Stockholm, where he now runs his own freelance business.
Rickard is behind a lot of album and book covers, portraits, advertising campaigns and several books, including the new book “Queen Silvia – An anniversary book”.
In 2014, he was awarded Picture of the Year for the portrait of Queen Silvia.
