Swedish photographer and videographer Jonas Åkerlund’s great passion for music is no secret. He has been playing drums professionally and has directed music videos that’s been awarded internationally. Among the awards you find several Grammy’s, an Icon Award, MTV Video Music Awards, the prestigious MVPA Hall of Fame Award including an MVPA win for the music video for Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and most recently a UK music Video Award for best concert film (Rammstein:Paris). Åkerlund received his third Grammy award for Best Music Film for Paul McCartney’s “Live Kisses.”

Jonas visually driven signature style, that often pushes the boundaries of the status quo, has certainly put his name on the board of talented people within the music industry. Due to his great interest in music, Jonas personally has attended various concerts and collected plectrums from each band. Åkerlund later on decided to photograph each plectrums and create an exhibition that involved his distinctive storytelling.
