Fredrik Etoall, born in Vänersborg, was very young when he started to work for Christer Strömholm, mainly managing his legacy; negatives from the forties and onwards. Retouching prints by hand, filling in hairs with a brush. Now his photos and title of the new book Observations by Fredrik Etoall, reflects Christer Strömholms world.  

Fredrik is an observer who gets the opportunity to steal a bit of each personality every time he takes their picture, observing what’s happening and trying to create his own interpretation of it.

He started to work with Roxette 2012, when he was approached by Roxette’s manager Marie Dimberg to shoot the pictures for their upcoming album ”Travelling”. Later he would understand that something special happened there, because that photo session playes a key role in his book Observations by Etoall. The picture they chose for the cover was taken that day, the one where Marie is standing in Per’s arms. That picture seems to summarize everything they have gone through together. There is a trust and a calmness between them. And you can tell that it’s real.
