Jan Wärnelöv
Jan Wärnelöv (b. 1951) lives in Anderstorp only 2 km. from Scandinavian Raceway.
Entrepreneur for 40 years, but not as a photographer.
Jan got a camera as a confirmation gift from his parents. Gradually, interest increased and at the age of 18, the first reflex camera (Konica) was acquired where you could change lenses.
The motor club’s photographer who was involved from the beginning, got tired in 1976 and this was where Jan got the opportunity to be a photographer for the club at the Formula 1 WC 1976-1978. As a club photographer, he got to walk just about everywhere on the track and in the depot without any obstacles.
Jan photographed three years with the Formula 1 World Championship in Anderstorp, were about: 4,000 pictures where taken.
The exhibition at Tres Hombres Art, Hotel Tylösand is the first major exhibition of these Formula 1 photos and is a tribute to Anderstorp and Ronnie Peterson who is our great icon in motorsport.
